Here’s another shoot with a beautiful high school senior. Sarah had the great idea of getting some shots inside Mayo’s Healing Garden. It was so tranquil and beautiful inside there… almost made me forget it was winter! I quickly remembered when we went outside to capture some shots in the snow. The whole shoot went great… it even started snowing right at the end, giving a real natural look to the pictures in the snow :)
- My love for photography started when I spent a semester in Swaziland, Africa. I so desperately wanted to capture the beauty of the people I met, the friends I made, and I wanted to use photography to speak on behalf of those whom lacked the means to speak for themselves. And so, in Africa, I fell in love with my point-and-shoot camera. Soon after, my love transferred to my 35mm film camera and now my DSLR. And I love photography- painting with light and sensors. I also love the art of espresso, baking, cooking, writing, and film making- probably in that order. I am wife to the love of my life, Blake, and mother to the cutest baby in the world. I am passionate about many things, but I am especially invested in taking care of orphans. My wonderful husband and I hope to adopt many children and encourage others to adopt as well. I owe all that I am to Christ. He is the reason I have hope- hope of a better place, a place with no orphans. But in the mean time, I will bring His dream to earth as much as possible. And this is precisely why my husband and I are in the process of adopting a child from Uganda. Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy the photos- I sure enjoy taking them.
